A 14-year-old girl dies in the evening traffic in Stuttgart. It could be a hit-and-run accident or a deliberate killing. Apart from a three-year-old boy, interviewed by Sebastian Bootz, there are no witnesses. The 80-year-old neighbour had been looking out of the window all evening, but had not noticed anything conspicuous in the street at the time of the crime. The only road from the crime scene leads into the traffic jam on the Neue Weinsteige.

Summary / Solution 🌱
My task was to transform an exhibition hall into an outdoor scene, the ‘Neue Weinsteige’, which leads into Stuttgart's city centre. For this I built a 3D environment in 3Ds Max based on location pictures. In order to be able to reproduce the complete sequence, I also set up a 180 degree 2.5D digital matte painting including a nuke setup, which was then used as standard by all compositing artists who were on the project. The project won the following awards:
Nominated for the Grimme Prize 2018, Fiction competition
Winner of the German Television Crime Award 2018
Nominated for the Jupiter Award 2018, Best TV Feature Film
